Model

Defining the alterations that characterize cancers is to model these alterations in different systems to understand their consequences. We use a combination of different models including:

Examples of Work:

  • Cell lines that are made from patient tumors. We use genetic engineering and other methods to model genetic alterations.
  • Computational network models of genetic mutations.

Ongoing Work:

  • Models that combine different gene mutations.
  • Humanized mouse models that model both the patient’s immune system and cancer.
